CD Launch Deise style went amazingly. Sold out of t-shirts, sold oodles of cds...but don't worry kids you can get the cd through the site, in all BPM records stores and also at gigs. national distribution is still a few weeks away but we're getting there.
Duped recently wowed crowds at the Ruby Sessions - so much so that they were instantly booked for another in August - dates in live section. Duped are planning something special for this gig - for themselves and something as a thank you for the fans so make sure to head down. As usual all proceeds got to the Simon Community. Also check out Ruby Sessions
First reports in from those lucky enough to buy pre-sale copies of the e.p. give it a undoubted thumbs up! PLease, if you got the cd, send in a review - either to the Forum or to band email
News just in, DUPED are playing the famous Ruby Sessions this coming tuesday 28 June in Doyles, College St, Dublin. Three other acts are also playing..Naama Hillman, Edgar Heaton and Donal Donoghue. Should be a good one and all proceeds go to The Dublin Simon Community. ADM €5
DUPED have been asked by the legendary Roddy Cleere to contribute a song to the new Philip Lynott tribute CD. DUPED have done a cover of the old Thin Lizzy classic "Dont believe a word". Done in a DUPED style, it definitely retains the spirit of the original, and has been given the seal of approval by rock guru Raymond "FRED" Mullins. Vocal duties are split with Tommy and Cormac, and banjo? by Shane...Currently being mixed, the CD will be out in August .For more info check out..

Duped have the pleasure of being included on the new Sofa Records compilation which is released next week. The track used is "Good Nature" a favorite of all Duped fans - especially live. Duped will be performing at two of the CD's launch tour shows in Waterford and in Cork.
A little Duped-shaped bird has told me that Duped are preparing to go back to the studio. As CK has been honing his master-producer skillz recording some tip top tracks from the likes of Gorbechov (check this out- very very cool.) the lads are just about ready to let him have a crack at it again. With an as yet untitled e.p. on the cards with tracks to be recorded in Waterford and Dublin - this is another reason to long for the springtime! (as if these winds and rain and COLD COLD COLD aren't enough!)
DUPED have been featured band on the UK music site DISTANT WARNING. Featuring an interview with Cormac, MP3 of "Good Nature" and also a review of their promo EP. Check it out here...
DUPED are in the studio again and are currently recording two new songs written by Cormac. "I cant win, you cant lose" (A Gomez/beatles groove) and "Piano song" (Motown meets The Divine Comedy?) The band hope to have the songs finished by early October with "Piano song" as our next candidate to be sent out to all radio stations and record companies. There will be samples of both songs up on our "downloads" section as soon asthey are finished.
